ExWHYZ has announced the pre-release of their new song “iD” on June 20. The track serves as the title song for their first official single, scheduled for release on July 30, and is the first new material created by the current four-member lineup: yu-ki, mayu, maho, and mikina.

With the theme of “reaffirming our existence,” all four members took part in writing the lyrics, alongside frequent ExWHYZ lyricist Kanata Okajima. The music was co-produced by 80KIDZ—who previously created the group’s signature song “Obsession”—and oni, a trusted producer from their EMPiRE era. The track also features live drums by Masaki Hori, who has performed with ExWHYZ and artists like Kenshi Yonezu, Chanmina, and milet.

Anchored by Hori’s powerful drum performance and 80KIDZ’s pulsing bass, “iD” is described as ExWHYZ’s most energetic and danceable anthem to date, fusing electronic beats with the emotional vocals of all four members.

Though the track has already been performed during the group’s ongoing tour “ExWHYZ TOUR 2025 ‘(unfinished) odds and ends”,” all photos and videos of the performance have been prohibited—making the upcoming release a highly anticipated moment for fans (aka “Masters”).

Additionally, ExWHYZ will hold their 3rd Anniversary Special Live “Our Step→Future” at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on August 2. Tickets are now in the final lottery phase and are expected to sell out soon.
