ASP’s UK Tour Day 2 in Manchester — An Intense 100 Minutes of Sweat and Cheers

September 09, 2025

ASP launched their first-ever UK tour ASP in the UK Tour on September 22, 2025. The second stop took place the following night, Tuesday, September 23, at The Kings Arms in Manchester.

This three-city tour—Bristol, Manchester, and the final show in London on the 25th—marks a major turning point for the group, as it has been announced that original members YUMEKA NOWKANA? and MOG RYAN will be graduating from ASP at the conclusion of the run.

Manchester, the setting for the second night, is a city that has produced world-renowned acts such as Oasis, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, and The Smiths. In the 1980s and 1990s, it gave birth to the unique “Madchester” scene, leaving a lasting mark on global rock and dance culture. To this day, the city pulses with the passion of both music and football.

The venue, The Kings Arms, is a live space built into a historic pub. With its wooden walls and intimate setting, the stage feels almost within arm’s reach—the kind of space where you can hear every breath and see every drop of sweat. Anticipation filled the room long before the show began, as the crowd’s chatter and cheers never once fell silent.

Before the performance, Junnosuke Watanabe—former president of WACK, who stepped down to pursue graduate studies in the UK and now resides there—appeared to warm up the floor with an opening talk.

As the scheduled time arrived, heavy bass-laden SE blasted through the speakers. Amid thunderous applause and shouts, the eight members of ASP entered from a side door, brushing past the ROGUES (the official name for ASP fans) to step onto the stage. The show kicked off with “TOXiC iNVASiON.” With only a single rope separating them from the audience, the intensity was palpable—every breath caught on the mic, every bead of sweat visible as fists were raised and stage and floor collided head-on.

The setlist, centered on songs from their major-label era, featured highlights such as a live-remixed “TOTSUGEKI!!!!!” and “MAKE A MOVE,” both of which drew explosive reactions. The sight of the crowd swaying together to booming basslines felt like a symbolic moment in the birthplace of Madchester.

During the MC, NAMELESS once again performed a playful demonstration of Freddie Mercury’s vocal techniques, following up on the previous night’s Bristol show. Her performance drew laughter and applause, while lively back-and-forth with the other members created a strong sense of unity in the room.

Toward the end, the members announced there would be no encore for the night. Instead, they delivered “Get New Mirai.” When one of them declared, “This is really, really the last song!” the floor erupted in cheers, and ASP closed with “BA-BY.” After roughly 100 feverish minutes, the second night of their UK tour came to a close.

ASP will face the grand finale of their journey on September 25 at The Underworld in London. After stops in Bristol and Manchester, the tour reaches its destination, marking the final night for ASP as an eight-member group.
