Music agency WACK has announced that it will hold the “WACK Joint Audition 2026” in collaboration with Junnosuke Watanabe, the former Representative Director of the company.

With the conclusion of WACK’s First Chapter, this year’s audition camp is intended to serve both as the culmination of everything the agency has built so far and as a reflection of the new direction WACK aims to pursue in the future. The final screening will take the form of a public training camp audition, the first in three years.

To mark the announcement, former Representative Director Junnosuke Watanabe released the following statement:

“Long time no see.
This is Junnosuke Watanabe, former Representative Director of WACK.
It’s been about three years, hasn’t it? We’ve decided to hold the training-camp audition, a long-standing tradition of WACK’s First Chapter, one last time.
This camp will be open not only to regular applicants, but also to current WACK members who wish to remain with the agency beyond 2027.
And for former WACK members who would like to return, we will prepare seed slots, so please apply if you can obtain permission from your current agency.
As I mentioned in my column for Natalie, from 2027 onward we will be heading into a battlefield very different from that of the First Chapter. Please understand that before taking part.
Since it’s been a while, applicants can’t just say they don’t know what goes on at the camp — make sure you study up beforehand.

The sudden announcement comes at a time when Watanabe’s recent column, titled “Junnosuke Watanabe’s Declaration of Defeat,” has been drawing significant attention, and the newly revealed audition may well become the final training-camp audition ever held.

The first application deadline is January 31, 2026.

Eligibility
• Age 12 to 25; nationality and experience not required
• Must not be under contract with a specific record label or production agency
• Must have ambition and be able to participate in the public training-camp audition held at the end of March
• Must be able to work in Tokyo from April 2026

Notes:
• Current agency-affiliated applicants must provide proof of contract termination by February 7, 2026.
• Applicants with past affiliation to other agencies must also submit proof of contract termination.
• Former WACK members currently under an agency must obtain permission from their management, or submit proof of contract termination after leaving.

Selection Process
• First Round: Document screening via email (only successful applicants will be contacted; applicants must be reachable by phone)
• Second Round: Interview (in person or remote)
• Third Round: Public training-camp audition held March 22 (Sun) – March 28 (Sat), 2026
(May be canceled or replaced with a final interview depending on conditions.)

After Acceptance
Successful candidates will join WACK Inc. and begin activities toward their debut.
