BiTE A SHOCK is a six-member, mixed-gender dance and vocal group—the first of its kind in WACK—consisting of MAHiTO, RYUUSEi, HARUTO, HANANO, RiNA, and SAORi. Their fans are collectively called “BiTER.”

In 2023, an audition titled “BiSH THE NEXT” was held with the aim of creating a “second BiSH.” Approximately 3,000 male and female applicants participated in auditions held across five cities in Japan. The process was documented as a half-hour program broadcast weekly on NTV every Saturday. The group’s name symbolizes the hope, shared by Junnosuke Watanabe and BiSH, that the group would “bite back and overcome various difficulties.”

Remarkably, just two hours after the debut members were selected, the group performed live on the music TV program THE MUSIC DAY. This rapid debut mirrored the format of BiS’s 2016 training camp auditions, which were broadcast live online. However, this time, WACK’s characteristic approach was showcased on mainstream television during a major music program, marking a significant step for the company.

On 17 July 2023—just 17 days after their debut—the group held their first solo live performance at Tokyo International Forum Hall C. The setlist featured both original songs and rearranged versions of BiSH classics, demonstrating their intention to carry on BiSH’s legacy.Their first full-length album, BiTE A SHOCK the FiRST, was released on 14 August 2024.
