ExWHYZ Hosts First All-Night Club Event “CLUB Ex Vol.1” in Shibuya with PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB and DONGROSSO A night of genre-bending performances, exclusive collaborations, and sold-out energy at Spotify O-EAST

April 04, 2025

Tokyo, Japan — Japanese music group ExWHYZ held their first official all-night party, CLUB Ex Vol.1, on April 5, 2025 (Saturday) at Spotify O-EAST in Shibuya, Tokyo. With a full-capacity crowd of 1,300 fans, the event featured high-energy sets by DONGROSSO (a collaborative unit formed by Shinichi Osawa’s MONDO GROSSO and the duo DONGURIZU), and electronic duo PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB, culminating in a headline performance by ExWHYZ themselves.

This marked the group’s third all-night appearance, but CLUB Ex represents a new initiative—a regular party series produced and headlined by ExWHYZ, aiming to create an immersive, genre-fluid club experience.

DONGROSSO Sets the Night Ablaze

DONGROSSO

Taking the stage at 2:35 AM, DONGROSSO opened with the nostalgic hip-hop track “SUKIYAKI.” Performing in suits and holding glasses in hand, Shinichi Osawa, Mori, and Chomo brought an old-school vibe while introducing new tracks from their debut album ANTI SOCIAL SOUNDSYSTEM, set to release on April 23. The performance included unreleased material and a surprise live version of the title track, which will not be included on the album due to production constraints.
Guest vocalist RHYME joined the stage for “CHAS,” delivering a laid-back, witty performance. The group closed with a powerful sequence including “BSMF” and “MTHRFCKR,” heating up the venue with aggressive beats and intense lyrics.

PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB Brings the Machines to Life

PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB

Next up, PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB—comprising Ao Shibata and Masato Nishiyama—delivered an electrifying live set with analog synthesizers and modular rigs. Their non-stop performance showcased tracks such as “UFO-mie” and “Day After Day (Tech VIP Remix),” with dynamic visual effects including dancing aliens and real-time synced graphics. A brief technical hiccup mid-set was met with humor and resilience, further deepening the audience connection.

ExWHYZ Headlines with Exclusive Covers and Collaborations

ExWHYZ

At 4:14 AM, ExWHYZ appeared as the night’s main act, to thunderous applause. Wearing specially designed all-black outfits, members yu-ki, mayu, maho, and mikina opened with “xYZ,” followed by a genre-spanning medley including “D.Y.D,” “Unknown Sense,” “Des Speaching,” “Toriko,” and “Metronome.”

In a surprise move, the group covered PASOCOM MUSIC CLUB’s “Day After Day,” complete with original choreography prepared just for the event. The performance culminated in a powerful rendition of their debut track “Wanna Dance” and MONDO GROSSO’s legendary club anthem “Our Song,” ending the night with a mass singalong and heartfelt bows.

Night to Remember—and a Series to Watch

“CLUB Ex Vol.1” was more than a live performance—it was a celebration of artistry, collaboration, and community. With sold-out attendance, exclusive performances, and genre-blending creativity, ExWHYZ proved once again that they are a force beyond the traditional idol scene. Plans for “CLUB Ex Vol.2” have already been hinted at.
