[LIVE REPORT] ASP Welcomes Former BiS Member iKO MUGENNOKANATA: “Evolution Lies Beyond Change”

On May 3, 2025 (Saturday), WACK-affiliated idol group ASP kicked off their nationwide Acid Suspicious Parental Tour at Yogibo META VALLEY in Osaka. The opening night also served as the official unveiling of their new member.
Back on March 30 at the final show of WACK’s “Could you still be WACKiNG TOUR” at Zepp Nagoya, ASP had appeared with a giant egg in a baby stroller and announced both the arrival of a new member and an upcoming performance at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA.
In the weeks that followed, ASP took the egg on a promotional journey across various Tower Records locations in Tokyo, even placing it at live venues. Fans—known as “Narazumono (Rogue)”.o—were eager to find out who would hatch from the egg. That question was finally answered on the first day of the tour (note: current member NAMELESS is on hiatus and did not participate).

The city of Osaka was buzzing with activity. Outside Yogibo META VALLEY, located near Namba Station, a large crowd had gathered. It was the first show of ASP’s new tour—and the highly anticipated debut of a new member. The event was sold out, and the atmosphere was electric.
Inside the venue, a large egg with ASP’s logo sat onstage—already cracked open.

As the packed venue reached peak anticipation, the lights dimmed and the SE kicked in. YUMEKA NOWKANA?, MOG RYAN, MATiLDER TWiNS, WONKER TWiNS, CCCCCC, and RiONTOWN appeared on stage—followed swiftly by the new member.
All eyes turned to the newcomer: iKO MUGENNOKANATA.

iKO MUGENNOKANATA
iKO was formerly a member of the third generation of BiS, which disbanded after their final one-man live Finale of third BiS on January 12, 2025, at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. Her rebirth as a member of ASP was met with resounding cheers from the crowd.
Opening with “TOXiC iNVASiON,” ASP delivered their signature blend of digital and rock. After energizing the crowd, the members greeted the audience together with a cheerful, “Nice to meet you—we’re ASP!” Each member then introduced themselves. When iKO stepped up, the applause reached a new high, warmly welcoming her to the group.
Yumeka added, “There’s one more member of ASP—NAMELESS. She couldn’t be with us today, but the seven of us will give it everything we’ve got. Thank you!”

With conviction, iko declared, “I brought nerves and excitement with me today. I want to go all out—let’s have fun!” The group launched into “TOTSUGEKI!!!!!” and continued their performance with tightly arranged choreography and seamless transitions—showcasing the extensive prep they had put into the tour. Songs like “MAKE A MOVE” were given dance reworks, and the overall structure reflected an evolution in ASP’s stagecraft.
During the MC segment, CCCCCC jokingly asked iKO, “Now that you’re in ASP, has anyone been treating you badly?” iKO responded playfully, “Well, since we’re being honest… Yumeka-san kept thanking me so much during practice, it actually got kind of annoying,” drawing laughter from the crowd. YUMEKA, in turn, earnestly said, “No amount of thanks is enough. I’m really, really grateful.” The group also shared lighthearted moments, like pointing out the 20cm height difference between iko and CCCCCC.

The second half of the show included a smooth transition from “I HATE U” to “Blueberry Gum,” offering glimpses into ASP’s musical growth and transformation.

YUMEKA reflected, “With the new lineup starting today, we’ve got new outfits, new arrangement zones, new choreography—this tour marks a major shift not just in appearance, but in ASP itself. Change takes courage, but ASP has always evolved. Because of these members, we’ve been able to keep challenging ourselves. That journey taught us that change leads to evolution. I’m so excited to see what lies ahead.”
She continued, “To mark this new beginning, we brought a new song. NAMELESS isn’t here in person, but her voice is included—so that all eight of us are stepping into this together.” With that, ASP performed their new track “Get New MIRAI,” produced by Age Factory. The song, an emotional and fast-paced number, captured the spirit of moving toward a bold future. The group sang it with power and conviction, then exited the stage.
The crowd immediately began calling for an encore, and the members returned. MOG asked, “Osaka, do you still have energy left?”—to which the crowd roared in response. They performed “Too young to get it, too fast to live.” and iko took a moment to speak again.
“I’m iKO MUGENNOKANATA, ASP’s new member. Everything—locking eyes with you, singing, dancing—it all feels new again. I came here with this nervous but nostalgic energy. Being packed into this glittering space reminded me how much I love this. The only reason I can stand here today is because you all have protected ASP. Everyone who’s poured their love into this group—thank you for making it my home. I’m excited for the future—with the Narazumono by our side, and members who say, ‘Let’s do something cool together.’ I’ll work hard to keep evolving, alongside ASP. Thank you for having me.”

A wave of applause followed. Then, to close out the night, ASP delivered an explosive performance of their major debut track “Hyper Cracker.” Their first show in the new lineup came to a thrilling, high-energy conclusion.
During one of the MCs, YUMEKA had said, “Change leads to evolution.” That message rang true throughout the night—from iKO’s debut and the new costumes to the revamped production. Notably, the setlist featured no songs from ASP’s indie days, consisting entirely of major-label era tracks.
What kind of “evolution” will this “change” bring? That question will be answered when the tour concludes on August 15, 2025, at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA. One thing is clear—the first step has already been taken.
