DIG YOUR OWN IDOLS

MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN from Wednesday’s Downtown is back! Hanae Monster returns! New song ‘Reload’ released and music video unveiled, with Kuro-chan as producer! Choreographer is AiNA THE END

January 01, 2025

It was announced during the 8 January show that the idol group MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN, from the TBS television show Wednesday’s Downtown, would be back and that Hanae Monster, who had left the group, would be returning at this time.

In addition, Kuro-chan was announced as producer, the new song ‘Reload’, which marks their return, will be released at midnight on 9 January, the music video will be released, and the choreography for the new song will be by AiNA THE END, formerly of BiSH.

MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN was born in December 2019 from the idol audition project ‘MONSTER IDOL’ by Kuro-chan on Wednesday’s Downtown and belonged to the music agency WACK, which produced BiSH, which disbanded in 2023. In December 2023, the group combined with an idol group from the same programme,Tonai Bou Sho, and ran through the year 2024 as Mameshiba no Taigun Tonai Bousho a.k.a. MonsterIdol. The announcement that the group’s name would return to the original ‘Mameshiba No Taigun’ and the return of Hanae Monster were announced on-air just now, and received a lot of feedback from viewers. Hanae Monster had left the group before Mameshiba No Taigun became Mon-ai, but her desire to make Mameshiba No Taigun bigger and Kuro-chan’s idea as a producer matched, and she returned to Mameshiba No Taigun at this time. This is the first time in WACK’s history that a member has returned to the same group.

The new song ‘Reload’ is a return to production for Kuro-chan, who had previously worked as an advisor at Mon-ai, with lyrics written by Kuro-chan and music composed and arranged by Hi-yunk (BACK-ON). The title of ‘Reload’, a tribute to MameShiba No Taigun’s debut song ‘Re Start’, is a tune that is full of catchy phrases and is cheerful and full of Kuro-chan’s typical meaningless and catchy music. It also shows Kuro-chan holding up a rocket pendant that he intended to give to Kaede Phoenix (who left the group in *2022) on-air in the 2019 ‘Wednesday’s Downtown’.

Comments were also received from Kuro-chan and AiNA THE END as follows.

I am Kuro-chan, and I have just been assigned as a producer!
Wah-wah-wah-wah!
The first song of the new, Mame-Shiba No Taigun
[Reload]
The theme this time is rebirth and destruction.
I wrote the lyrics with the feeling of rewinding and destroying things over and over again.
And we’ve made it in a way that it’s never been done before, so please feel it at the live performance!
As Kuro P, we will make a lot of dreams come true, so please look forward to it!

Kuro-chan

This is the first time in five years that I have made a choreography for Mameshiba No Taigun.
‘Each and every one of the bean grains is a part of the bean bush swarm!’
I made sure that all the Mametsubu could dance to their full potential in the dance this time.
I hope that the song ‘Reload’, which is perfect for a new beginning, will spread its wings.
I was happy to be able to join the Mameshiba after five years.

AiNA THE END
