biography:
Yuri Hirano, also known as “THE Idol” and affectionately called “Yurimaru,” has white as her image color and a Naruto swirl as her trademark. She has a deep love for her hometown of Asahi City in Chiba Prefecture. With a wide-ranging musical style that spans from classic idol songs to rap, she is based in the Kanto area and actively performs nationwide.
In 2024, she released full-length album containing 15 tracks. On January 1, 2025, she followed up with a new single to kick off the year.
Driven by her desire to “invigorate the solo idol scene,” since 2024 she has been planning and releasing a collaborative single series featuring solo idols. In July 2025, she was invited to perform at the world’s largest anime expo, where she delivered a highly celebrated performance, expanding her presence overseas.
On August 16, she hosted a live event featuring 12 solo idols. On August 17, she appeared at SUMMER SONIC 2025 KIDS CLUB. In November, she is scheduled to release a new album containing 14 tracks.
In her hometown of Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture, she has actively engaged in community-based activities, such as serving as a one-day police chief and hosting coming-of-age ceremonies. She has also performed live alongside the city’s mascot character, “Asa-P.”
She has brought her unique performances to various venues, including live shows at a kindergarten in Shibuya, acting as a one-day captain on a mixed passenger-cargo ship supporting the development of the Izu Islands, and train concerts on the Choshi Electric Railway.
Her regularly held “LIVE BUS” performances in Shibuya attracted attention and were featured on the Nippon TV program Shuichi.
Since January 2023, she has also been the host of a regular radio program on Shibuya Cross FM, where she is active as a speaker and source of information.
