ExWHYZ’s ‘HOPE’’, which took place in five cities with a new four- member line-up of yu-ki, mayu, maho and mikina, with the official return of mayu, was held at Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo, on 27 December.

With a video with the theme of ‘light’ playing from the time the doors opened, the live started with the well-known SE ‘Dresscode’ produced by Seiho and the dance tune ‘NIGHT COASTER’.The venue became like a club as the images and lasers produced by filmmaker Masaki Okita flew around the venue. They performed ExWHYZ’s killer tune ‘Obsession’ produced by 80KIDZ, followed by ‘There’s no limits’ and a series of danceable songs, with the masters (a collective term for fans) singing along and shaking their bodies in their own way.

They also performed the mysterious ‘Oshienai’ and ‘ANSWER [Seiho REMIX]’ with visual effects, and the audience got really excited with ‘Our Song’ and ‘Unknown Sense’, and the main event ended with a big singalong and jumps with ‘STAY WITH Me’.

During the encore, each member looked back on the many things that happened in 2024 and expressed their thanks to the masters who had supported them throughout the years.Mayu said: ‘I was depressed and sad in many ways, but I still love you guys and LIVE, so I think I can faced it like this and come back to the bright side as many times as I want. That’s why I want to come back here a lot next year! Thank you very much!’ She expressed her thankfulness.

They sang ‘Drama’ behind a performance composed of smiling photos of the members from their childhood and EMPiRE days, including midoriko and now, and also performed a completely unreleased new song ‘SHOWTIME’ as a surprise.The song is a mixed rock song, and maho’s acrobatic rondato performance was brought loud cheers from the audience, which made it hard to believe that it was their first performance. The release date of the song has not yet been decided.Finally, the end roll, created by pianists Sarara Wakui and Seiho, was played, the audience applauded loudly and the ‘ExWHYZ TOUR 2024 “HOPE”’ came to a close.

ExWHYZ will tour 11 cities across the country from May next year, ExWHYZ TOUR 2025 ‘(unfinished) odds and ends’.
The tour will be the first time that all of their one-man shows, including their EMPiRE days, will be held at a live house.
