Japanese music group ExWHYZ has surprise-released their long-awaited new track “SHOWTIME” digitally at midnight on Friday, May 2.

“SHOWTIME” is a high-energy mixture of rock and pop, first unveiled during the encore of the group’s final performance of the “ExWHYZ TOUR 2024 ‘HOPE’” at Zepp DiverCity on December 27, 2024. A live video of the performance, including member maho’s standout acrobatic “roundoff,” is already streaming on their official YouTube channel, gaining buzz among fans.

Despite becoming a staple of their live shows, the track had not been released until now. Fans, affectionately known as “Masters,” had been eagerly awaiting the drop, frequently asking, “When will it be released?” and “We want to hear it already!” That wish was finally fulfilled with this surprise digital release.

“Thank you all for waiting. Honestly, it was time this song became part of your daily life—so here it is. I’d be really happy if you listened to it a lot. And since our tour kicks off tomorrow, I hope we can all enjoy it together live.”

In addition to the release, ExWHYZ also revealed the cover artwork for their upcoming first official single “iD,” which is scheduled to drop on July 30, 2025.
