The music agency WACK has announced its decision to hold auditions for a new idol group, in collaboration with Junnosuke Watanabe, former CEO of WACK. This project follows the successful launches of BiS and BiSH.

Junnosuke Watanabe’s X has announced the holding of auditions with the full cooperation of WACK for the launch of a new idol group project, the next step after BiS and BiSH. Please check it out, not only for WACK fans.

Hey everyone, it’s great to see you all. For those who haven’t seen me for a while,
hi! I’m Junnosuke Watanabe, a postgraduate student (just a student) in London right now

I’ve been involved in the music industry for over 15 years now (maybe even more!). I started the first stage of BiS when I was a businessman, and I worked with the group BiSH as a producer and manager not long after the company was formed. With BiSH, we were allowed to perform in a national year-end music show and sold out the Tokyo Dome, which was a very valuable experience for us.

This time, with the full support of WACK Inc. we are launching a new idol group project. This time, although I am a student, I would like to use my experience and prepare a project for the future.

Of course, our aim is not to be number one in Japan or to hold shows at the Budokan or the Tokyo Dome, but to be number one in the world. lol I’m laughing at myself at the moment, but If I don’t believe, nothing will start.

We’re looking for ambitious people between 12 and 25 who want to do something different, and it’d be great if you’d like to work abroad.

Obviously, you’ll need to be fluent in English as well, since it’s the world’s official language. I’m not there yet, but I’ll do my best. You’ve got to study as much as I do.
So, you’ll need to learn to perform in a way that won’t make you look bad on the world stage. We’ve decided on a year-long prep period, but it might be longer. We’ll be recruiting early, together with WACK. We don’t know how many years it’ll take, but if you’re still interested, please apply.We don’t mind what your current ability is, but you’ve got to be able to perform at your best when you make your debut. We’ll do our best to support and training you (at no cost, of course), but if we think you’re unmotivated, we’ll ask you to quit even halfway through your career.

So, looking back, it’s pretty clear that everything’s been a team effort since the beginning. We’ve managed to get where we are by working together with our members. If you don’t start, you won’t get any results, right?

<WACK new idol group project audition details>
■ Requirements:
12-25 years of age.Nationality and experience not required. Not contracted to a specific record label or production company. Applicants with ambition.
Applicants who are currently under contract with an agency must be able to provide proof of contract termination by 30 April 2025.Those who have belonged to other agencies in the past must submit a contract termination notice.
Applicants must be able to work in Tokyo from July 2025 as well.

and send two photos (one full-body and one frontal close-up = taken within the last three months) with the application.

We cannot respond to any questions regarding acceptance or rejection.

■1st deadline: 30 April 2025.
*Please note that screening will take place ahead of the first deadline and that if members are selected at this stage, no auditions will be held for those on the second deadline.
■2nd deadline: 14 May 2025.

■Screening:
1st screening = Documentation email screening (only successful applicants will be notified. Please make sure you are available to answer the phone).
2nd screening = Interview (to be held in person or remotely)

■Passed:
After belonging to the production company WACK and going through a training period, the group starts its idol activities as a member of the WACK New Idol Group Project.
